Edyta took some inspiration from our challenge and created a beautiful project for us.

Hello:)

I have this great joy today to inspire a guest for MMA.

For our today's meeting I have prepared a mixed media project on canvas.

The color palette and the theme "dance" inspired me towards flamenco and dance with castanets.

I used this wonderful color combination from the palette and the motto - "do what you love" in the project. I think that everyone of us plays dance somewhere in our soul, we just need to let that expression be expressed in the rhythm of our favorite music :)

I painted the canvas with black gesso, I applied structural paste through the stencil and a little red paint in the corners. I added a composition with a dancer (ITD Collection rice paper) and flowers (leaves from Paper Heaven papers). I also used many lightweight castings :) Finally, I lit several places with Finnabair silver wax. Some more pictures of the project...

June Guest Designer ~ Agnieszka Mirkowska

Hello,

My name is Aga Mirkowska vel Scrapeciarnia and I live in Wroclaw, Poland. Here is my approach to June Challenge. I used the colours: red, black and grey for moodboard and I got inspired by ‘Dance’ – so I chose the photo presenting the feet of a ballet dancer. Here's My project

Firstly, I prepared a sheet of AB Studio papers from Dreamland collection using clear gesso.  Then I put some Decoart modeling paste through the 13 Arts stencil. When it was still wet I put some white embossing powder from Wow! On it and dry. I also put some modeling paste through the stencil presenting notes from 13 Arts. This time without embossing.

Then I glued some elements using gel medium such as: embossed with Wow! silver embossing powder chipboards from Przez Okienko presenting puzzles, cut foil elements from 13 Arts transparent foils, paper flowers with a little bit of gauze, black lace, some leftovers from scrapbooking papers, 3d stones and wings from Prima / Finnabair molds.

The wings were previously painted with gesso and red decoart paint. After that I put a little bit of silver metallic paint from Decoart on it instead of silver wax.

I also chose some quotes from Craft o’Clock sheet of quotes and a little bit of silver microspheres by 13 Arts.

I finished my LO using grey watercolor paint and Fire Opal Color Glow by 13 Arts and I put some black splashes using black 13 Arts Splash! on it. Here's more close ups of my project.

Hello creative folks,I am Jyotirmoy Barman from West Bengal,India.I am so glad having the opportunity to work with Mixed Media Academy team as a Guest Designer.The Theme of this month's challenge "Dance Like Noone's Watching" is just amazing and the mood board Colours are also my favourite.Here is my inspiration for you.

Here are the steps for making this Project 

1.First of all I took a mdf base and gave texture using mixed media paste and stencil . 

2.Then using air dry clay i made a low relief of a dancing lady.

 Lower portion of the lady is made out of aluminum foil.

3.Then using  packaging board ,craft pellets I gave more textures.

Then pasted some embellishments with hot glue and primed the whole project with black gesso. Next I applied black chalk paint.

4.After that I highlighted the texture and the relief work with  gray and also highlighted some areas with light gray .

5.Next I coloured the gown of the lady with salsa red chalk paint and after that I used embossing texture paste.

6.Next I used some handmade flowers and primed chip board shapes , cotton thread ,word stickers, coconut fibres, nails, die cut leaves to enrich the beauty of my project.

7. Finally I used a photograph of a lady who is enjoying dancing.

June Second DT Challenge Inspiration

Dance like no one's watching is Being yourself... It means being present and not overwhelmed or consumed by others' expectations. It means focusing on why you started dancing in the first place — for fun, for expression, for connection, for yourself! In today's world, it seems more than ever that there is someone watching our every move...

According to me
Dancing is more than just moving body parts; it is a pathway of expressing your deepest inner thoughts.and as well
