Hello .This Hemali Shah. I hope everyone is fine and healthy. I am very glad to be guest designer for the month of May. I was so impressed by the moodboard of May 2021. 

I have used colors and some grungy elements from the mood board.

I have  created base from the waste cardboard and craft cardstock. I have used #immix metallic paints which gives amazing look. I have tied ribbons on the top to give a different look.

To overcome fear you should face it. This mood board is perfect blend of steampunk and colors, I chose to alter a clock this time. Created some texture and crackle effects with a skull element. 

My inspiration for our gorgeous Mood board. This month I tried to combine steampunk and nature elements. I tried to capture a night scene and layered a lot of steampunk elements to match our quote Fear is an illusion

I have created a wall plate to show Do not hesitate to create anything of your thoughts and this is overcoming your fears. You can do wonders with breaking so many rules and be brave in art. So just create with your heart and leave the fear behind your imaginations!

We all have gears, its time to use it.. 😉 (pun intended)

Use your gear, level up your creativity and participate in this months challenge.. afterall who doesn't love #steampunk Right!

We all know mad Hatter on Alice in Wonderland. There mad Hatter had fear. He conquered his fear by understanding the reality. And he himself concluded fear as illusion.

Likewise, I chose this mixed media page to remember ourselves as 'super hero' . We all have super power. The power to realise the happiness, calmness, courageous towards ourselves. Or by helping others to cheer ourselves from inside. This will happen only when we loosen our mind to relax by choosing healthy habits.

Don't you think we are all super heroes

Fear and failure are illusions that are self-created. Close your eyes and ask yourself. “What is your biggest fear?” Typically most of us will answer with, “failure”. Never give up when you fail. Rather learn from it on how to rectify and move on. You should be proud to have tried something even if you failed. Change your attitude towards failure and be fearless because fear is just an illusion.

Fear and failure are illusions that are self-created. Everything you see, everything you touch, everything you hear, everything you taste, and smell is self-created in your mind. It’s something you create from perception. Any fear is an illusion. You think something is standing in your way, but nothing is really there. What is there is an opportunity to do your best and gain some success. Hope you like my creation.

Hello Everyone!!

STEAMPUNK “HIS” DIARY

Here is my project for May month. Its and altered diary for year 2021

for Men, full of steampunkiness and covered with textures from the base 

to top.Steampunk mould from stamperia, die texture on clay with beautiful

lindy’s sprays and metallic waxes

I immediately fell in love with the new Mixed Media Academy moodboard for May. The main thing that inspired me was the quote "Fear is an illusion". From the colors, I chosed to use gray, blue, red, and gold. I transformed a piece of wooden board I found at work.

Hello guys .

I made this altered book with steampunk style !!

I used Mdf clock and gears and resin embellishments . I used colours from the May moodboard of mixed media academy challenge .

As it says “fear is illusion” . I tried to showcase the illusion on the cover of my book which has clock which depicts time , face depicts thinking and so many gears Behind face depicts fear and lot of thoughts .

3D waves are showing illusions !!

So it states that fear is an illusion which is in our mind . If we can change our thoughts and make them positive so it will enlighten our world with happiness as , I made bulbs here which shows light 💡 in a dark .

There is angel as well which shows hope .

'Fear is only an illusion' but sometimes fear may kill our dreams. I got inspired by the quote and I prepared a steampunk inspiration made on hdf bulb-like shape. I used everglade green, gold and tabasco red shades from the color palette. I used some themes from the moodboard mainly bulbs, clocks, old books.

Hello friends! The text from this month's moodboard reminded me of a quote, "There is no light without darkness". Without darkness or fear, we wouldn't appreciate the light and good things in our lives. I took inspiration from the steampunky images on the board and used lots of gears and a lightbulb to create the symbol of light.

This month's moodboard gave me an opportunity to work with steampunk theme and all I could think was how fear is a natural, powerful, and primitive human emotion, necessary for survival but how many times it stems from imagined perils rather than real. How, most of the times, it is a weapon for a psychological warfare with our own selves. This made me put the quote " Fears are stories we tell ourselves" in the project which resonates with the quote in our moodboard.
