Today at Mixed Media Academy we have the very talented Saadia Nawaz as our Guest Designer and she has created a beautiful project for this month's BIRTHDAY / CELEBRATION theme

Hello Everyone

My name is Saadia Nawaz and I am a Mixed Media artist. I love creating Art journals and Mixed media canvases using different techniques and products. I am very happy doing a Guest post on Mixed Media Academy's Birthday and I wish the whole team a great creative year ahead.

About My project, as this month the theme was related to Celebration and there was freedom to create anything you wish, I decided to go for my favourite style and created a Mixed Media Canvas.

For this I took an  8 x 8 inches canvas.

Applied gesso all over, followed by modeling paste through a stencil to prepare my background. 

Applied acrylic paints with a brush and arranged and glued the embellishments. 

Finished it by adding few paint splatters.

February Creative Team Inspirations

Today at Mixed Media Academy we have some fabulous challenge inspirations from our wonderful Creative Team Members. This month we are celebrating our first Birthday and we are giving away some amazing prizes as well. This month the theme is CELEBRATION and you can create Anything Mixed media. 
Yes, this month we are open for Cards, Tags, Atcs also...

February is my Birthday month too. I love my birthday 🎂. I love to wear new dress, cut a cake and buy some gifts for myself. I feel it's a special day for everyone as we came to this beautiful world on this day. We all should be Happy and do something good to mark this day like I love to plant a seed or a tree and take care of it, every year this day.
And I decided to make a gift for myself and here is a shadowbox frame with a lot of fussy cut and handmade flowers to celebrate our birthdays ❤️❤️❤️

I love flowers, and there's nothing more exciting and fun then getting a bouquet of flowers for a birthday. And February is a double Celebrations .
it's also my birthday 4.2

 Celebrations add colour to our life and Birthday is one of them. What is birthday without cakes, chocolates, candles, birthday decors, banners, balloons, gifts, party etc...Here's my take on the moodboard... a colourful birthday banner for our february challenge.

First of all wishing a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mixed Media Academy Challenge.
Birth is beginning. So every year birthday celebration is celebrate of your birth, your journey.
I make my project with picture of my furry baby to celebrate his birthday this month. I choose blue, pink and teal from moodboard. I have altered a small size mdf frame and add 2 shutters for turned the frame into open window. Make some foamiran flowers and how can I forgot to make a cake for him after all it's a birthday celebration.

I love flowers. I can't imagine that there would be flowers for the birthday. The colors from my tag matched the mood board colors.

When I saw the theme and colors, I thought I had to bake a cake! Ok, I usually don't bake, so I made something like a cake using media!
I couldn't resist using my daughter's photo from her annual session. It is full of joy and expression like our moodboard. And how will you celebrate with us?

 Happy first Birthday! We all had a great time, although you won’t remember it...1st Birthday! will always be special to the parents & relatives showering you with Blessings & so many presents...

But the memories will be captured & treasured for you to cherish all your life...

My work is inspired by Mixed Media Academy's Birthday. I used the colours from our mood board and inspired by the unicorn cupcake. I decided to make a rainbow coloured unicorn which is a beautiful Birthday gift for someone special. To make this 3D structure I used Powertex and liquidow and 3D easy flex. I realy love how it turned out. Show us what you create this month inspired by our moodboard...
