Hello Crafty Friends
This is Veena, glad to be the Guest Designer for Mixed
Media Academy Blog for March Month. This month theme is inspired from the quote
“Live life in full bloom” and mandatory use of flowers. I loved the vibrant
colors of the mood board. I created an altered art as an inspiration for the
challenge.
1. I started by adding sand texture paste to the MDF cage
and once dried, I applied black gesso to it.
2. I then applied Lindy’s stamp gang purple
magical shaker on the base. After that I did dry brushing with white gesso and
later applied Aged Brass wax from Finnabair.
3. Then I added 49 and Market paper in the
center of the cage. After that I embossed two frames with Ranger
embossing powders and glued them on to the base.
4. Then I embellished it with lots of
flowers from dress my craft,leaves, pearls, sequins, glitter, glass beads
and art stones. I then added a owl cut out and a quote to finish the project.
