November Mid month Challenge Inspiration

Hello Crafty Souls,

Today we have our mid month challenge inspirations from our   DT Members
This month we have "ONCE UPON A TIME" challenge for you all. You can find the link our main challenge announcement post with linky tool on the top right sidebar.
All our DT Members have created their projects inspired from their favorite fairytale. You still have some time to enter...
Here is our Moodboard...

And here are some mid month inspirations

I love all kinds of  Fairy Tales. As a kid, I loved to read about fairies and their special powers, beautiful princess and their dresses. For this month's inspiration I created Rapunzel's castle where she was isolated. I made this out of tissue rolls and wrapped it with old clothes and crackle paste. For the upper part of the castle I used a half coconut shell and cardboard.
For the base I used a MDF plate on which I created the stony effect using craft pallets and moss.
The important part of this story is the beautiful golden hairs that Rapunzel had, so I used some Sisal fibre and colored them and then made a hair plait and hanged it from the castle window...

Who doesn't know Peter pan and Tinkerbell from Neverland. Tinkerbell's pixie dust saved the boys from so many troubles, but that wasn't all. Faith and trust on your own self is the key to success. As this quote from this Fairy Tale rightly says..." All you need is Faith, trust and a little bit of Pixie Dust"
Here is my project based on this theme...

November Special Guest Designer ~ Stephanie Garbett

Hello  Crafty Souls,

Today we have the Awesome Crafter Stephanie Garbett on Mixed Media Academy blog with her beautiful Guest Designer project.

Hello MMA friends, I'm so honoured to be a Guest Designer for this month. The theme for this month is one of my Favorites and I want to share my fairytale layout with you .
My inspiration behind my layout is all about my little girl, she is besotted with childrens fairytale books as are all little girls. I decided to turn my layout into a story book as I wanted to preserve this memory of my daughters dress up fairytale photoshoot that was taken two years ago.
The fairytale I based my layout off of is the princess and the frog, a classic and well-known fairytale that we love to read together.

For this layout I used Mintay Papers, and they perfectly fit into this theme.
I also used some chipboards and metal embellishments to decorate my page. Here are some close up shots of my project.

Thank you Stephanie for this gorgeous project.

Do participate in our challenge to win some awesome goodies from our generous sponsors this month and also be our next Guest Designer...
You can find this month's challenge on right side bar.

Thank You...

November Challenge

                                                       Hello Crafty Souls
Welcome to November Challenge at Mixed Media Academy...

Fairytales...There is much we can learn by reflecting on the stories heard in childhood. Magical characters, the adventures these stories describe often reflect challenges we face in our journeys. The tales hide a wealth of insights just below the surface. They are clearly more than mere entertainment...

What's your favourite Fairytale??? Or do you have a favourite character ??? Or You just love the Fairies...???
Let us know in your own unique creative way...

Here is what our Design Team has created to inspire you all...

What's my favourite Fairytale? Please, don't ask me this question. I love almost all Fairytales, this old one like Andersen or Grim Brothers stories, and those created by Disney. But for this challenge, I chose a fairy tale that made me cry a lot - Frozen. So I created a castle that is cover by ice and snow. Winter is created by Elsa, which is why the trees are still green. You can also see a carriage - like in all "old" princesses stories (a symbol that I don't have one favorite fairy tale).

A fascinating challenge awaits us this month. These are fairy tales! What is my favorite fairy tale? I never thought about it, because every fairy tale has its own story and morality. But in my childhood I had a book. It was a rather old shabby book, but it contained wonderful very beautiful pictures and an interesting story. It was a fairy tale about a sleeping princess who was awakened by a magic kiss. Now time is moving forward, old tales get a new interpretation and new heroes. Now this fairy tale is filmed by the Disney studio and was named Maleficent.

I made my page inspired by this new side of an old fairy tale. I used Finnabair black gesso, Opal Magic paints and waxes to create the background. Beautiful wings and metal decor are also from Finnabair. Paper and word stickers from 7 Dots Studio. Cutting dies from Fantasy.
Join us in this magical challenge! We are very interested to know what is your favorite fairy tale!
Bue-bue!

What's my fairytale???? Alice in wonderland of course!!!! Alice is perfectly as me 😊 with the head in the clouds, dreamer, curious and that doesn't take advice easily!
It's a fairy tale full of crazy figures I love so much!!!!
It's like my life!!! 😁😁😁

I am Inspired by the story Snow White and seven Dwarves here. I created a mixed media Art journal page with a jungle background and used picture of this fairytale...
I love snow white fairy tale its inspired me that time when i was child and these days too when i recite this to my little girls 👧👧
Fairy tales not always dreamy world but these also give lessons of life
According to me i learned from this story
"REMEMBER YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CAN FILL THE WORLD WITH SUNSHINE "
waiting for your fairy tale perspiration
Here my journal page for it

What is my favorite fairy tale? hmm ... there are several of them. But I love the ones with fairies and magic the most. Nothing stimulates the imagination like magic. To meet a real fairy - this is something. But find yourself in the real land of the fairies of Fairies. Priceless experience and every girl's dream come true!

My little fairy house !!! I love Fairies and wanted to make something based on them, something girly, cute and whimsical ! I wish i can live their in woods in fairy land among them and have those beautiful fairy wings and starry wand with which I can create some magic
