JULY Guest Designer ~ Lily Fox

 Hello MMA Fans...

Today we have our May challenge winner Samorodova Liliya Rustemovna aka Lily Fox as Guest Designer. She created a gorgeous project for our July challenge inspiration.

Over to Lily

Greetings to all mixedmedia fans! Today I am honored to be a Guest Designer for MMA.
I was in love with July's inspirational board from the first sight so I've decided to take one of the pictures for my focal point.
Following the colour pallet, I used stamps as they were the main element of the month. Some chipboard pieces and cutouts added some volume and old lace made it soft and delicate.

Hope you are inspired.

Some close-ups of the project.

Thank you Lily for your beautiful project.

Hello everyone. Here is the GDT project for July of travel theme. I have chosen vintage travel theme and style is art journal page.
Step by step picture tutorial of this project is below:

Step 1: Take a empty art journal page and apply clear gesso on it. Let it dry overnight.

Step 2: Die cut tags and circles from brown cardstock and apply clear gesso to it .

Step 3: Take diecut circles and stamp vintage images from clear stamp with distress ink.

Step 4: Take white modelling paste and vintage alphabet stencil and apply the paste over the stencil with a palette knife.

Step 5: Dab brown chalk paints over the stencil design. Create splatters with the same colour and white chalk paint over the page here and there for a vintage background effect.

Step6: Arrange the composition elements of the project like diecuts, tags, paper dolls, burlap florals, chipboards and letters throughput the center of the page on the stencil design.

Step7: Stamp vintage script clear stamp with distress ink of dark brown colour here and there on the page. Repeat the stamping process using dots design clear stamp with light brown distress ink.

Step 8: Blend the whole composition of the art journal page with light brown chalk paint diluted with water. Apply with a paint brush.

Step 9: The art journal page is ready!!!

Some Close Ups!

Thank you VTK Rani for your beautiful project.

  DESIGN  TEAM  INSPIRATIONS

It doesn't matter where we are, we always can stop for a moment and make some MEMORIES - it doesn't have to be a photo, it might be just a picture or a small thought in our minds. I got inspired by the topic and warm colors of the mood board: beiges and browns. I used a STAMP with gold embossing powder in the background.

This months mood board has really inspired me to create this piece,
Everyone loves to travel to different places and I guess Paris is one of them... So I have created this project, I named this project as " Travel to Paris"
I have used clear stamps on clay to create embossed tiny tiles mimicking postal stamps...
Hope you all like it.

We all treasure memories because they allow us to relive delightful times in our lives..
Sharing my treasure with you... reliving our trip to Mauritius through this project..
I have used gothic script stamp from Prima and Music stamp from kaisercraft

Hello, friends! My inspiration this month about travel in France. But it is not ordinary travel but travel in time. My project about times of Versailles creating, time of kings and princess..

I placed AR for Argentina, since most are cities in my country.
I love, placing toppings, glitters, glitters, pebbles,
is what defines my works, the "Brilli- Brilli"
Close-up of the textures that I achieved with modeling paste, cardboard and acrylic paints.
Detail of the stamping in Hot Embossing, to place the name of the places we visit as a family.

This time I was inspired by this photo that I love from a trip to the Science Museum in Granada,  that unique, relaxing moment from which you would never have left.

Memories that you make along the journey stay with you forever. I made some lovely memories during my craft journey and of course there are a lot of fun memories of travel. One amazing memory of a journey is when I found out that I'm expecting during our trek.
It was so full of happiness and anxiety at the same time. My favorite place is Greece. It has amazed me with it's myths and I have used the photo of the place here.
I hope to visit this place once for sure.

Do you feel inspired!

Now let's move on to check what our Design Team has created

  DESIGN  TEAM  INSPIRATIONS

After 12 years, I finally made an album from our honeymoon.
I was inspired by the new mood board аnd because this month's
phrase is "Make memories!", I decided to make my project personal.
I chose a few photos from the 5 cities we visited in Italy.
I painted the fabric for the covers and edges of the pages with paint.
I covered some of the items with wax, sprayed the covers and pages with black gesso,
 and added stamps.

Inspired by the travel theme and the colors of the mood board
I made this mixed media painting. I used map stamps on the background
paper to intensify the theme and the papers patterns.
This painting will be a reminder to visit those places
I dream of visiting and make new memories!

This theme took back me when me and my husband went to see light house in California...
I love going to the beach it calms me down.
I used compulsory element stamp...and the text stamps are one of my favorite.
I took colors from the mood board and the picture clicked by my husband.

Waking up to the chirping of birds at dawn, exercising and practising dance in the
terrace breathing fresh air was my routine for many years until I got married.
Now I hardly hear the birds sound. It's rather the vehicles' honking that I wake up to everyday. Birds and the beach hold a special place in my heart bringing
in fond cherishing memories. The mood board for July did exactly that.
And we have to use stamps. I have used them in 3 different ways like stamping
with archival inks, stamping with embossing powder and stamping with dies.
Share your memory with us because that's what we are left with.

The colors and the travel theme on the mood board inspired me to create this canvas...
Travel creates memories that last a life time. The best things in life
are the people we love, the places we've been and the memories we've
made along the way.

Travelling brings pleasure and joy . It is thrilling to visit unknown places, to meet new people, to see different cultures and in the process we end up making unforgettable memories, which we cherish throughout our life time. This was one of such tour to mesmerising heaven in
india "Kashmir". ❤From the mood board colors ,snow mountains and adventures inspired me. I have used printed real travel stamp. Now get inspired and create your version.
I used stamps to create my own tissue paper for the background
and to make some elements. It was so much fun creating this project.

To put power into our LIVES. The trip allows this through the encounters they provide, the various places that it allows to cross, the cultures that it allows to apprehend, the experiences that it allows to multiply. For this challenge, I decided to work on a square canvas,
I used many gear molds, and I positioned in the center, this woman determined to travel, to discover life while traveling. I used a stamp on the bottom left and also on the top right,
I used the hot embossing technique.

Hello everyone,
I created this mixed media layout with pastel pink and beige colors. The focal image that I chose represents the memories which are fading away slowly. I have used three types of stamps in my composition - brick wall, flourish and script. I used the script stamp under my vellum paper for a see through effect, flourish stamp around the floral arrangements and brick wall around the composition for an added element.
I loved creating this project based on this gorgeous mood board, hope y'all like it too.
