Our Challenge is based on THEME & COMPULOSRY ELEMENT 

MOOD BOARD THEME : MIND OVER MATTER

COMPULSORY ELEMENT : DOODLE

This month's theme is "Mind over matter" where we would like to create awareness about giving importance to mental health, peace and spiritual growth for one's holistic wellness. You have to use "doodle" as the compulsory element. You may interpret and incorporate the key element in any way in your project. There is no particular colour scheme, however, it will be wonderful to try to be close to the colours in moodboard.

  DESIGN  TEAM  INSPIRATIONS    

Hello friends
Here is my creation of November, as always, I took a lot of pleasure while making this creation, when I discovered the moodboard I fell in love.
I used an openwork mdf with cute doodle, then I added ribbons and lots of flowers. I chose rather strong colors but I find my awakening quite restful.

It's good to take a while for ourselves, sit, look at the stars and clean our MINDs. That is how I for inspired by the moodboard and theme. I prepared a background looking like a night sky with a girl starring at planets and stars. I used the DOODLING technique to make a frame for pages and quote.

“Let go of the thoughts that don’t make you strong." Again one of my favorite quote that keeps me going This month we have another amazing moodboard and this is what I have created inspired by the moodboard. For moodboards compulsory element I used doodle stencil on the background  Hope you guys like it Love

November moodboard is full of energy and mind. The positivity in the universe spread from the energy created by us. 'Om' is the sound of universe. It is the essence of ultimate reality and binding everything in the universe. 'Om' is sacred mantra which is chanted in the beginning of meditation or yoga or any rituals. All these made me to create "Om" home decor.
I used mixed media paste, stone texture paste, spray and chalk paints.
This month compulsory element is doodling. Here I used quick method for doodling.. It's nothing but I used doodle image transfer sheet on the base. And complete it, I scribbled around as small border.

Self-esteem is as important to our well-being as legs are to a table. It is essential for physical and mental health, and for happiness.-Louise Hart.

Taking time to create in my art journal is really giving me a peace of mind. No stress and no thoughts of the end result, just create. I usually don’t use this much different colors in my creations but the moodboard inspired me to use them all. I’ve used papers, stencils and translucent paper from Maremis small art, colors from LuminArte’s Twinklings H2O and golden was from Finnabair. The text comes from Studio Light and I’ve doodled with a white Posca pen.

November 2nd DT Reveal

                                                   Hello Mixed Media Academy Fans...

Today we are back with some more inspirations from our Design Team for November challenge. This is our Mood board

Make a project around our mood board and 

 follow all rules mentioned below and win some fabulous sponsor prizes.

Teal, blue and kind of purple with peacock catched my eyes. I have created art journal page for November month.Peacocks are never fly high like other birds. But it dance beautiful. Everyone is special as their own.Like everyone has dreams,but hesitate to try it.

The inspiration-

"Your wings already exists.All you have to do is flying". Flying to achieve our goals.may be improving something that already exists within us or May be achieving happiness. Or achieve inner peace.

I like violet colors and feathers, so when I saw this mood board I thought - this is create for me and it'll be easy project. This fairy represent talent. She is beautiful and free. She is almost shining. Behind her back I hid a bird in a cage. Remember when you have bad days, bad mood,

you feel trapped, you can sit down and relax during crafting. Everything is better when your soul shine.

This canvas was a birthday present for my crafty friend 

Even when the weather is a little bit dark and it's getting colder and colder outside it is still great to have fun. Now we have longer nights to create. So my mood is excited and I took inspiration from our moodboard colours to create this piece.

Hello creative souls!

This month we are in a lilac-blue mood! Our moodboard with these bright feathers made me associate with a bright carnival. I have created my canvas "Carnival Night" for your inspiration. Lush bright dresses, feathers, funny music, masks, laughter and fun! Let this mood whirl you in the cheerful dance of my carnival night!

Today my mood is very festive as it's my Birthday. The month of November is very special to me, my little munchkin is also November month born and my brother too. One more reason to be joyful is Diwali festival. All we know that many are miles apart from their loved ones this year just like me because of Covid_19. I wanted to send my lovely wishes to everyone, so I made these colourful mixed media tea light candle holders. I have recycled plastic lids into these gorgeous festive decorations.

November Challenge

   Hello and welcome to the November challenge at Mixed Media Academy. 

This has been a tough year and as we are approaching the end of 2020, we wish normalcy to return. As we have already suffered a lot, let's now spend sometime thinking about ourselves. So here's our challenge "MY MOOD" 

Share with us, what's your Mood lately... do you think or pay attention to yourself... Use at least 3 colors from the palette and participate in our challenge

                                          Here's some inspirations from our Design Team

Take control of your life. Your future is in your hands. Don't allow others to control the direction of your life. You have to get to a point where your mood doesn't shift based on the insignificant actions of someone else. Don't allow your emotions to overpower your intelligence. It knows what to do. So master calmness in every situation and take control of your life. A recent lesson learnt from another episode in my life

My Mood this month is Princessy as I'm spending some time with my parents after a long long time and like every girl I'm the princess of my loving parents.Also this is the Festive season in India which unfortunately we have to celebrate at home... But we will have loads of fun as we are together and that's most important

Feathers and mood brings these words in my mind...Drama Queen!!!  My mood keeps on changing and, since, face is the most expressive part of our body, it mirrors my mood.  But either I am feeling festive or I am feeing broken and down, I always keep the crown on my head, it may be crooked sometimes but it always stays there! 

 I made a Venetian mask for the Carnival mood this festive season. It shows my many moods, festive, happy, positive, broken, sad, down or cracked. We can't go out and celebrate like last year this festive season but to enjoy you do not need to go out, you can celebrate at home with family and boost your mood!

Go with flow.feathers are so light weighted that they go with any flow. So as krishna's flute. When krishna flute begins all go with its flows. So we are going right know with flow of covid. Sometimes we cant do anything and just have to go with flow. My take on this moodboard

Hello, friends! Today I'd like to shaw my project, inspired by November moodboard. I was thinking about mystery and beauty of violet palette, tried to create an elegant and graceful project.

Hello folks,

November moodboard is so amazing. Full of my favourite colours. These days i love teal and purple colours. I have created a canvas with Prima's stamp image and coloured it with watercolour colours.

Just want to spread postive thought to all the women who are surrounding me, " Shine Wherever You Go! "

November Mid month Challenge Inspiration

Hello Crafty Souls,

Today we have our mid month challenge inspirations from our   DT Members 

This month we have "ONCE UPON A TIME" challenge for you all. You can find the link our main challenge announcement post with linky tool on the top right sidebar. 

All our DT Members have created their projects inspired from their favorite fairytale. You still have some time to enter...

And here are some mid month inspirations

I love all kinds of  Fairy Tales. As a kid, I loved to read about fairies and their special powers, beautiful princess and their dresses. For this month's inspiration I created Rapunzel's castle where she was isolated. I made this out of tissue rolls and wrapped it with old clothes and crackle paste. For the upper part of the castle I used a half coconut shell and cardboard.

For the base I used a MDF plate on which I created the stony effect using craft pallets and moss.

The important part of this story is the beautiful golden hairs that Rapunzel had, so I used some Sisal fibre and colored them and then made a hair plait and hanged it from the castle window...

Who doesn't know Peter pan and Tinkerbell from Neverland. Tinkerbell's pixie dust saved the boys from so many troubles, but that wasn't all. Faith and trust on your own self is the key to success. As this quote from this Fairy Tale rightly says..." All you need is Faith, trust and a little bit of Pixie Dust"
