  DESIGN  TEAM  INSPIRATIONS

For this months challenge I have altered an old brush.. I was inspired by the colors of December moodboard, but instead of going completely pastels, I have incorporated light colors with black gesso to show shadows (compulsory element of this months challenge) and highlights in the project.. Hope you all like it

Hey everyone,
With new year around the corner, I am thrilled to be a part of better times that lie ahead for me.
Keeping that in mind, I created this layout with bright colors. I used the compulsory element 'shadow' in the way of casting shadow of the elements put together in the layout. Looking forward to making new memories and having good times with friends and family.
Love
J

December moodboard pictures inspired me to create mixed media art journal page. Pastel colours and flamingos are one of my favorites. This inspired me to make tropical theme with flamingos..
Flamingos are always stand for positive vibes. The brighten up situation is always 'live, laugh, love'.
This month compulsory element is 'shadow'. So I have created shadow to the flowers and flamingos which feel like there are group of flamingos & flower branches behind it.

Happy Crafting

We all have our ups and downs in our lives. We never feel the gratitude when we reach our highs but feel depressed when are at our lows. Take everything as this too shall pass. Brighten up each day for every day has something good to offer. Just look deeply... find that happiness and hold on to it. It will lead us to our sunshine. The mood board colours were so soothing that it brightened up my mood instantly. I have to use shadow as compulsory element and I have used black and white die cuts of the same designs and pasted the black behind to give the shadow effect. Hope you like it.

In this moodboard I have made a fresh and simple medium collage mix according to the bright colors.
I ran black ink around the collage to give it more depth and create more interest.

December month challenge has come with pastel colors. And these remind me of happiness and love. I depicted the moodboard through a 12x12 layout.
Happiness is the new rich.
Inner piece is the new success
Health is new wealth.
Kindness is new cool.
Do join us for this month's challenge at MMA

I love to work with shadows. On this mixed media piece I started by painting the lower side with black gesso and the upper side with white gesso. After that I used Finnabair acrylic paints and on top I dry brushed with white gesso and white gold wax from Finnabair.

Do you feel inspired!
